Sustainability reports as a tool to manage sustainability

In today's society, which is increasingly sensitive to social and environmental problems, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has become an important factor in the competitive world of business. The current study begins by describing the concept of a company utilizing a stakeholder theory approach. Subsequently, a range of initiatives developed and deployed by public, business and professional organisations are classified. To conclude, we analyse sustainability reporting as an accounting tool taking into special consideration the GRI model.
