摘要：
In addition to form birefringence and stress changes, the UV-induced mode-field deformation can significantly contribute to the total birefringence in UV-side-illuminated fibers. It causes a non-balanced weighting of the stress anisotropy, even if the circular symmetry of the stress distribution is not broken. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
