ESA study of a near infra-red camera for the NGST

We are present the results of a near infrared imaging camera study far the NGST, conducted under contract with ESA, Imaging in the 1 to 5 microns domain, possibly extended to 0.6 microns is a strong requirement for the core programs identified for NGST, Our compact camera design emphasizes simplicity with a single optical train covering a field 6 x 3 arcmin(2) with a fixed spatial sampling of 0.03 arcsec/pixel on a 12k x 6k detector array. Three filter wheels allow for broad band and narrow band imaging.
