摘要：
Direct-type hydroxymethylation of 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds with aqueous formaldehyde proceeded smoothly in water in the presence of Fe(NO3)(3)center dot 9H(2)O and sodium dodecylbenzenesulfate (SDBS), to afford the corresponding products in good to high yields.
