摘要
An exploding wire device was used for the production of nano-crystalline Al2O3, TiO2 and ZrO2. Large quantities (up to 1kg/h) of powder with high purity and a low degree of agglomeration can be produced. A dynamic high pressure method, the magnetic pulse compaction, was used for their compression and the shaping of green bodies. Green bodies with densities > 80% of theoretical density were produced. The greens were sintered to fine-grained ceramics in a microwave-oven using 30 GHz microwaves.
