摘要
Vortex-Induced Motion is an oscillatory phenomenon which occurs to a floating body with low aspect ratio. In this study, hydrodynamic force acting on each column of multi-column offshore floating system was investigated using towing experiment. It was shown from the experiment that the relationship between the force and the shape of the floating body, the strength of the mooring, and flow velocity in square cylinder was the same tendency as that of circular cylinder, but the increase in the force was suppressed. A possible interpretation to this phenomenon was proposed.
