摘要
Mandatory Indonesian Government through the regulation of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources to encourage the use of biofuels (bioethanol and biodiesel) as a way to conserve the use of fossil fuels. Among these mandates is the push for the use of 100% biodiesel (B100). The use of biodiesel with a certain amount of concentration will certainly cause problems in its use, for example the growth of deposits on the engine. In addition, biodiesel is very vulnerable to oxidation compared to ordinary diesel fuel so it can increase the amount of deposit formation. This study was conducted to compare the characteristics of the formation of B100 biodiesel fuel deposits (some of the oxidation levels given) using the hot chamber test rig method. The oxidation treatment heats the fuel in several temperatures and time frames. The longer the biodiesel fuel is heated, the fuel will have excessive oxidation so that the oxidation stability factor applies. This makes biodiesel fuel more difficult to experience oxidation and can increase the mass of deposits formed.
