摘要
The knitwear market can be classified into the following types, namely hand-knitting, crochet, and jersey knitting. In terms of craftsmanship and popularity, flat knitting is the simplest technique and most widely used. As such, typical patterns applied in jersey-knitted garments are stripes and simple geometric patterns that lack design innovation. To demonstrate the application of visual illusion patterns in knitwear design, this study presents technological progress in design innovations that plays a crucial role in the knitwear industry, while exploring more possibilities. In this paper, optical illusion patterns are integrated with fabric design to deliver different visual effects, such as fake-two-piece design, mimic visual graphics and patterns with three-dimensional visual effects. As a type of stretchable fabric, knitted fabric performs well in matching human body shapes, making it comfortable. An experiment is made to explain the pattern design, jacquard weave, and readyto-wear collections, and the results demonstrate that the integration of knitwear design with visual optical illusion patterns can provide mature ideas for fashion design and meet market needs. It improves production efficiency and simplifies the production process, thereby making it more sustainable.
