Research on knowledge retrieval and navigation system of web-based learning resources

In response to the problem of the learning sources is not ontology based and lack of semantic description, the paper proposed the approach of the construction of knowledge retrieval and navigation system, and the ontology-based knowledge organization model was presented in the system for the retrieval of learning resources. The knowledge organization model included the parts of subject domain ontology, metadata extraction, and automatic classification for learning resources. Throughout the knowledge organization model, it can semantically descript the metadata of learning resources based on the domain ontology, and to realize the knowledge organization and navigation for learning resources.
