摘要
The paper presents mathematical models simulating the relative radioactivity of uranium isotopes in the Selenga discharge and in the water of Baikal. The measured contemporary radioactivity of uranium isotopes relative to the initial level is proposed as a means of dating pelagic sediments in Lake Baikal by a special method. Preliminary estimates based on published measurement data agree with qualitative modeling results and with Arkhipov's time scale of paleoclimates for Siberia.
