摘要
Hemicellulosic derivatives with either cationic groups or anionic groups were synthesized by the etherification of sugarcane bagasse hemicellulose. The sorption of these derivatives onto spruce bleached kraft pulp fibres and masson pine thermomechanical pulp fibres was studied in detail. Investigations on their addition to pulp revealed that the addition of cationic hemicellulose is most effective for increasing the strength properties, especially for masson pine thermo-mechanical pulp. In studies of assisted sizing with anionic resin cationic hemicellulosic derivatives improved the anionic resin retention on the kraft pulp fibres, and improved the hydrophobicity of the sheet significantly.
