Menopause and hormone replacement therapy

Menopause is a normal part of life for most women, and can be made easier with the provision of appropriate information about the events that occur. For those women who desire help for bothersome menopausal symptoms, effective therapy can be offered. The usefulness of HRT for the prevention of osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, and possibly other conditions, is more uncertain. An approach to clinical decision making is presented.
