摘要
Diabetic mastopathy is a rare, benign clinico-pathological entity strongly associated with type I diabetes. X-ray mammography and uttrasonography are inadequate to distinguish this lesion from malignancy, leading to unnecessary excision biopsies. Dynamic contrast enhanced MRI and MR spectroscopy, powerful tools in the investigation of breast disease, can help solve this problem. (C) 2004 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
