摘要：
Applying a new technique for studying the orientation of austenite at room temperature, where it would normally transform to martensite, Rivera et al. have studied the solidification of gray cast iron. Their conclusions are in general agreement with the classical work in this field. (C) 2004 Acta Materialia Inc. Published by Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
