摘要
Electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) technique is a computerized geo-tomography method that is commonly used for the reason that it is quickly becoming practicable and operational, leading to effective interpretation results. This study focused on one of the worldwide issues in detecting a buried air-filled void (buried air-filled tunnel). There are some factors that must be studied carefully and primarily before gathering fieldwork or interpretation data to get successful interpretation about the subsurface structure by using ERT technique. 2D resistivity tomography synthetic modeling is used to evaluate the initial factors, either by computer generated electrical resistivity data set to produce 2D electrical resistivity modeling and inverse models using different types of electrical resistivity configurations. The models are useful before conducting on the field survey, to understand the advantage and disadvantage of the geoelectrical resistivity configurations for a successful and meaningful interpretation. This study will be valuable globally in numerous applications such as; geotechnical, environmental, tourism sector, internal safety, heritage conservation, water resources, military, and archeological studies.
