摘要
This paper presents a broadband coplanar waveguide (CPW) to rectangular waveguide transition for unitraveling carrier photodiode (UTC-PD) THz source application. The four step Chebyshev ridge waveguide is used to transform the quasi-TEM mode of the CPW to the TE10 mode of the rectangular waveguide, and to widen the transition bandwidth. Simulated results demonstrate that the proposed CPW to waveguide transition covers the whole D band (110-170 GHz), and achieves a wider fractional bandwidth of 43% and lower insertion loss of 0.5 dB.
