A flexible air interface for Integrated Broadband Mobile Systems

摘要
In this paper we present a flexible air interface for an Integrated Broadband Mobile System, which utilises adaptive antenna arrays in three configurations. These correspond to different classes of users which support:different data rates and Quality of Service requirements. Due to the complexity of smart antenna algorithms, a trade-off between data rate and mobility is required. The modulation and coding parameters of the various classes are specified and simulation results are shown for a space-time channel, considering a pre-Rake and a space-time Rake receiver.
