Colombian Armed Conflict and the Catholic Church: Resistance and Actions for Peace. 19852010 . This article characterizes the actions in favor of peace and resistance to the armed conflict that has affected Colombia, led by members of the Roman Catholic Church, on their behalf and / or motivated and encouraged by faith. It focuses on the period 1985-2010, a critical period in terms of human rights violations and also, a period when three groups of identifiable armed actors converge. These actions are characterized by being multiple and structured, focused mainly on the territories most affected by the armed conflict, but also on some cities. The 1990s and part of the 2000s concentrated most of the actions, but these decreased as the armed actors were demobilizing, transforming, or losing their territorial power.
