Starting from ferrocene aldehyde and (1R, 2S)-diphenylethylendiamine, (R)-(+)-1,1'-binaphyl-2,2'-diamine, (1S, 2R)-diaminocyclohexane, the corresponding new chiral ferrocenyl shiff bases 1, 2, 3 of C-2-symmetry were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, and H-1 NMR spectroscopy. In addition, the application of their complexes with Ir, Rh, Ru formed complexes formed in situ as catalysts in asymmetric transfer hydrogenation and the discussion of the effects of the reaction conditions, as well as the structure of ligands and the configuration of products are described.
