摘要
Considering the mobile computing era we realized that information systems are experiencing a process of metamorphosis to enable users to use new ways to access information from mobile devices. This is mainly due to the increased popularity of these devices such as smartphones and tablets. Driven by this new computing scenario, which is changing old habits and creating new ways to access information that previously was only accessible via traditional computers, there are growing demands for mobile enterprise applications (MEA). This increase is caused by the companies' need to ensure their customers new forms of interactions with their services. Thus, this paper aims to introduce a process called MetamorphosIS, which provides a set of activities subdivided into three phases: requirements, design and deployment, to assist on the development of mobile applications from existing information systems. The article also describes the SIGAA Mobile application, which is a case study of the use of the activities described in this process in an existing web information system called SIGAA.
