THE ROLE OF INTERNATIONAL SECURITY INSTITUTIONS IN THE PROCESS OF ENSURING THE GLOBAL SECURITY

The fall of the Cold War paradigm has increased even more the complexity of the global security process. In the management of this process, a special importance is granted to the international institutions having security vocation: United Nations Organization, North Atlantic Treaty Organization, European Union, European Security and Cooperation Organization. Each of these institutions has designed and built its own security strategy and acts by specific means for applying this strategy with the best results. We must also stress the fact that a correlation must be made between the future of these institutions and the global security dynamics, so that these can accomplish their objectives. Considering the facts presented, I will further strive to develop these ideas with the purpose of noting the essential aspects concerning the role of international security institutions within the process of ensuring the global security.
