摘要
A dual-view 3-D display with multiple resolutions is proposed. The proposed 3-D display consists of a 2-D display panel and a parallax barrier. The parallax barrier can project the parallax image on the 2-D display panel into views and form several viewing zones. By making viewing zones overlapping, the proposed 3-D display can improve the resolution of the image in the overlapped area and provide multiple resolutions. Finally, the resolution is improved at the center area of a viewing zone, where there is high-probability viewing position of the observers. A prototype is developed to verify the principle. The experimental results show that the proposed 3-D display can improve resolution.
