摘要
This article discusses the basic concept, definition, and method of GO methodology in order to evaluate and avert the risks of the engineering, such as extended reach drilling. The risks and accidents of drilling have been emphasized more and more. We try to evaluate and avert the risks for the extend reach drilling technique developed up abroad the nineties, it is very important, because it is an advanced and new drilling technique. Due to complexity and randomness of risk, its measurement is very difficulty. Hence, in this paper, the GO methodology is applied to evaluate and avert the risks of extended reach drilling technique. Its conclusion is not only agreed with other methods, but also corresponded to practice. From the point of view of both theory and practice, it is proved that this approach has feasibility and practical value. It may be referred in the work site.
