Hydrogen manufacture, storage and utilisation: The role of nickel

摘要
Future hydrogen technologies will grow from today's hydrogen industry, to which nickel-containing products make a unique contribution, so it is timely to survey their roles in current hydrogen production, storage, and utilisation. This paper illustrates the range of uses of nickel-based alloys and nickel-containing steels. These, along with outlets in the emerging technologies, foreshadow future widescale applications Nickel is well positioned to support any such future demand as growth in mining is assured. Additionally the distribution of the mining and the refining of nickel is now worldwide, underpinning supply continuity.
