摘要
In the decision making process there are always some parameters that are inaccurately specified ensuring that the decision making is very subjective. One of the most useful aspects of fuzzy set theory is the ability to represent mathematically a class of these inaccurately specified parameters as multiple objective decision variables. This ensures that vague and ambiguous (and thus fuzzy) parameters can be considered in an optimum decision making process. This paper presents a fuzzy decision making model that can be applied to multi-attributes decision making activities that are representative of many real-world problems. The proposed decision making framework is based on an approach developed by Zadeh, L.A. and Bellman, R. E. (1970) and later extended by Yager, R. R. (1977) together with Dempster-Shafer theory of evidence. The model is applied in this paper to select alternative risk control options in marine and offshore engineering applications.
