Application of CSAMT method of geothermal prospecting in Fujian Province

In this paper, a successful example to use CSAMT method to find hot ground water has been showm. It is used in the Fujian geothermal field. Controlled Source Audiofrequency Magneotelluric Method (CSAMT) has been used to look for gold-copper and other metal deposits in the past, this is the first time for us to find geothermal resources by this method in 1996. In the East, South China, on the basement of remote sensing data, we deal with CSAMT method applied to geothermal resources. A tectonic in a northwestdirection that hot ground water can go up has been found at the boundary between rounding rock and hidden granite. After drilling, hot ground water in 200 m depth is found. Filter is appled in this prospecting. We believe that it is very useful to decide the boundary of granite.
