摘要
A novel compact dual band circularly polarized (CP) antenna for WiMAX and WLAN applications is presented in this paper. With a conventional metasurface (MS) placed atop a patch radiator two operating frequency bands are obtained. Further, by modifying the unit cell of the MS layer, both the bands at 3.52 GHz and 5.5 GHz give rise to CP radiations. Axial ratio bandwidths (ARBWs) are 2% and 3.63% at the lower and upper frequency bands respectively. The designed structure is low profile and has a gain better than 6 dBi at both the resonant frequencies.
