摘要
Spin trapping with DMPO is often used to study the production of hydroxyl radicals (OH) in solution. However, the experiments described in this work clearly show that DMPO may also be used to determine the singlet oxygen quantum yield of a photosensitizer. So, to prove the existence of freely diffusing OR independent of singlet oxygen production, competition experiments have to be carefully done.
