Study on intraspecific nucleotypic variation in 4x wheat, rye and 6x triticale using flow cytometry

摘要
DNA content of inbred lines of rye, rye varieties, durum wheat genotypes, primary and secondary hexaploid triticale was studied by flow cytometry. No intraspecific variation was detected in the investigated species. Comparison of DNA content of primary triticale with the parental wheat and rye genotypes has shown that the DNA amount in the nuclei of a primary triticale is a mere addition of the DNA amounts of the two parental species. A comparison of the DNA amounts of primary triticale with those of secondary ones revealed that no change in nuclear DNA amount has occurred as a consequence of a long-lasting selection to turn a primary triticale into a high-yielding, well-adapted variety.
