Characterizations for noncreasiness and uniform noncreasiness of the psi-direct sum of Banach spaces are given. As a consequence, the geometry of the infinite l(P)-direct sum l(P) (X-n) and the Lebesgue-Bochner space L-P (mu, X) with respect to these notions is investigated where 1 < p < infinity.
