摘要
In this paper, data obtained from an 85-farm sample from southern Poland are investigated using factor analysis. It is shown that the number of dimensions can be reduced to three without significant loss of explained variance. An attempt was also made to use the described approach in evaluating technical input and efficiency indices of the farms under examination. The results suggest that there is an interpretable relation between factors in the reduced space and the indices. Correlations of raw variables taken into analysis (selected attributes of farm) with technical input and efficiency indices show interesting and unexpected pattern.
