摘要
Expert Systems have been applied to the construction industry in diverse areas and especially where complex reasoning and knowledge processes are implied, which require factual information stored in database management systems. A model was developed for the evaluation of the costs and functional quality of construction elements. Construction operations and corresponding resources were classified as to their costs and technical parameters with regards to the functional requirements that need to be fulfilled. In that model we can also take into consideration technical parameters regarding safety and health requirements with a view to minimising risks during construction. The present study presents a method of classifying, encoding and structuring these safety requirements as applied to different construction operations, as well as the generation of databases regarding risks in carrying out construction operations and of individual and collective safety equipment with the aim of exploring and creating an island of knowledge of the previously developed model.
