摘要
Yellow fever was recognized as a clinical entity in 1648 in Yucatan (Mexico). In the early 19(th) century, the disease's transmission was still a mystery and many physicians believed that yellow fever spread by air-borne route. Finlay suggested that mosquitoes were the vectors of yellow fever, in 1881. In 1900, this theory was confirmed by Reed's commission in Cuba. In the 20(th) century, many investigators aimed to understand this plague's Epidemiology. Nowadays, yellow fever is a well known infectious disease but it is still a danger for Africans and Americans countries.
