Genetic parameters and character association in exotic genotypes of two rowed barley

Twenty six exotic genotypes of two rowed barley showed significant differences in yield and yield contributing characters. Grain yield had highest phenotypic and genotypic coefficient of variation followed by number of fertile tillers. All the traits possessed high heritability values. Highest heritability value was Found in grain yield. Genetic advance was high in grain yield followed by number of fertile tillers and grain size, Grain yield showed significant and positive relation with all the traits except 1000 grain weight which was of negative association. Number of fertile tillers had highest positive association with and showed highest positive direct effect towards grain yield.
