摘要
A series of 87 consecutive patients treated surgically for parasagittal and falx meningiomas is reported. According to Simpson's classification 25 procedures were Grade I, 55 were Grade 11 and 7 were Grade IV. In 21 cases meningiomas invaded the superior sagittal sinus. 76 (87,3%) patients had satisfactory outcome (good recovery or mild disability) on discharge from hospital, 7 (8,1 %) patients were disabled and 4 (4,6%) patients died. Satisfactory outcome was achieved in 76% of patients following Simpson I surgery compared to 96,3% of patients following Simpson II surgery. Followup ranged from 22 to 196 months (mean, 87 months). Clinically important regrowth of tumour was noted in 14 patients. In the analysis male gender, partial removal of meningioma and bilateral falx invasion were confirmed as significant factors for recurrence.
