Prediction of coupled vibration response for gear system

摘要
Firstly, the main causes for vibration of gear system are thought to be three excitations: stiffness excitation, error excitation and meshing shock excitation. Secondly, the excitations of gearing are simulated by the finite element method and the error equivalent method. The exciting forces in gearing are obtained. Thirdly, integrated 3-D finite element dynamic model of gear system including gears, shafts, bearings and gearbox case is established. The coupled vibration characteristics for the transmission system and the structure system in gearbox are perfectly described by this model. Fourthly, the vibration responses of gearbox are predicted under gearing excitations. Lastly, the experimental research on a gearbox is performed. The root-mean-square velocity for the vibration of the box surface is measured. It shows that the experimental results and the finite element analysis results are in good agreement. Thus, it is proved that the research method from gear excitation, model establishment to vibration response estimation is suitable for predicting the vibration of gearbox, which lays a necessary foundation for the design of low-vibration gearbox.
