摘要：
Pain is the symptom that most frequently brings individuals to the attention of a physician, yet it is a symptom that is often incompletely evaluated and inadequately treated. Recognition of neuropathic pain is essential in the successful management of many painful conditions. Mechanisms currently thought to play a role in the development and maintenance of neuropathic pain form the basis for choosing appropriate treatment options.
