Effect of hot rolling texture on the formation of the (111) recrystallization texture in Al-Mg alloys

摘要
Hot rolled plates of Al-5.5Mg alloy having the developed beta-fiber texture were warm rolled 85% in thickness in the temperature range between 553K and 613K. The (111)[<(1)over bar 10>] shear texture with the spread around the rolling direction toward (001)[(1) over bar 10] was formed in the sheets rolled between 553K and 573K. The recrystallization texture composed of the (111)[(1) over bar 10] orientation was generated in the sheets rolled at 553K by 16 passes and 573K by 15 passes for the depth 30% from the surface. The (111) texture component parallel to the rolling plane was penetrated into the mid plane section of the sheets. The fairly high average Lankford values 1.20 and 1.14 were obtained in these sheets. Although the (111)[(1) over bar 10] recrystallization texture was formed in all the sheets rolled between 553K and 573K up to the 20% or 30% inward layers, the expected improvement in (r) over bar values has not been achieved in the A1-5.5Mg alloy sheets produced from the industrially hot rolled plates yet.
