Mass ratios and mixing angles from a SU(3) gauge family symmetry

摘要：
The effective field theory description of a gauged horizontal SU(3) symmetry successfully reproduces many of the small parameters in the mass matrices of the fermions of the Standard Model. Few observables in flavour physics appear in the effective Lagrangian as free parameters, suggesting that these specific quantities give us information about scales much larger than the flavour scale.
