摘要
The paper describes an improvised modeling approach that combines multidimensional fluid a dynamic simulation based an the CFD-KIVA III codo with derived fitted variable effective gross chemical kinetic data for the prediction of autoignition of hydrogen-air mixtures during rapid compression. These derived kinetic data were generated from parallel results that were obtained while using detailed kinetics and zero dimensional modeling for a similar system under the same corresponding temperatures and pressures. Computed results using this, approach were shown to compare much better with experimental results obtained in a pneumatically driven rapid compression apparatus than corresponding results obtained using the full kinetic scheme in a Zero dimensional modeling approach. The study will highlight the important role played in effecting autoignition by the temporal development of increasing non-uniformity in the charge properties during the compression due to the combined effects of heat transfer, piston motion and preignition energy released.
