Evaluating the research impact of authors, journals and institutions

Over the past fifteen years, there have been scattered attempts at rating the journals, authors and schools involved in operations management. While many of these have been very helpful in generating a relative ranking of productivity and prestige, theses analyses seem incomplete. In this article, we propose to introduce a new facet of rating: impact. We hope impact evaluation of journal, authors and institutions is free of many of the disadvantages of previous methodologies, and informational enough to overcome its own possible weaknesses.
