摘要
Queueing theory is the mathematical study of waiting lines, or queues. Servicing the passenger at the railway station is an example of Queueing theory in praxis. Input flow is the high num ber of customers and travel document ticket office (cash desk) are waiting lines - queues. During peak hours, the input flow of customers is so high that for each service line are forming the queues. If are on station more opened ticket office the passengers can choose the ticket office with relatively the shortest queue. When entering the complicated customer's requirements to the waiting line it leads to the formation of long queues and thereby to prolong the total time of the waiting in the line. The paper deals with applying the basic principles of Markov's chains in the implementation of one common queue at the railway station in servicing the passengers in ticket office. It also provides examples of the time savings for waiting passenger in common front of waiting.
