摘要：
A study was carried out to demonstrate the possibility of attaining selectivity and conversion from the autothermal partial oxidation of ethane that are comparable to or superior to steam cracking. This was accomplished by adding hydrogen in a 2/1 H2/O2 ratio to the stoichiometric 2/1 C2H6/O2 composition using a platinum-tin (Pt-Sn) catalyst in a short contact time autothermal chemical reactor.
