摘要
YouTube is a platform for sharing information through videos which appeal to young people nowadays. Among its various channels, there are those which claim to be educational, for example, videos of youtubers who explain, summarize and analyze literary works required for college entrance exams, or who offer literature classes specially targeted at the National High School Examination (ENEM). Those youtubers, or more specifically, booktubers - as those who record videos on books and literature are called - have attracted thousands of followers who are elementary school students in Brazil, ratifying the content of literature classes, both in the structural and ideological aspects. Therefore, this article aims to analyze the videos contents against formal education content- as defined by the official documents presented by Rezende (2013) and Cosson (2011) -, in order to understand how nationalisms rooted in twentieth-century Brazilian theories, which underlie the teaching of literature, appear in those digital practices. To compose the research corpus of this article, four videos were analyzed, two of them being about Iracema, by Jose de Alencar, and the other two about Macunaima, by Mario de Andrade, inserted in the literary schools of Romanticism and Modernism, respectively. In general, as a practice of literary literacy, the videos have been contributing to corroborate the dominant ideology in literature teaching: nationalism. In addition, booktubers restrict their analysis to only one interpretive possibility of texts, which may limit the literature ability to allow countless readings and identifications.
