摘要
In this paper, a novel self-decoupled antenna pair using a shared radiator is proposed for mobile terminals. Two orthogonal modes, a dipole mode and a monopole mode, can be excited simultaneously at the same radiator so that it can achieve inherent high isolation and low spatial correlation. A single-band demonstrational example is analyzed to reveal the working mechanism. The simulated results show that the isolation is better than 60 dB throughout the whole band. Moreover, a dual-band extension can be obtained by just adding another two branches, which largely reduces the complexity of design and implementation for dual-band applications.
