摘要
The steel plate shear wall has the advantages in strength and ductility for building structures, but the performance under seismic action is highly affected by the details of the shear plate and the connections with the boundary element. In this paper, a test on steel plate shear walls with CFT boundary element under low-cycle reverse loading is proposed. The un-stiffened steel shear plate of the first specimen is connected to the boundary element with high strength bolts. The stiffened steel shear plate of the second specimen is connected to the boundary element by welding. The preliminary results show that the stiffener and welding connection will improve the lateral stiffness, strength and degradation performance both at serviceability and ultimate conditions.
