Alumina, zirconia and silica for use as raw materials for AZS fabrication were characterized using differential thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy techniques. These techniques provided raw material properties such as thermal stability, microstructure, particle size, and crystalline phases.
