摘要：
A dual-polarized dual-band array antenna for K/Ka-band is proposed in the context of the so-called Gap Waveguide Technology. Here, the unit cell formed by 2x2 elements is presented. Each radiator is an open cylindrical cavity backed by a circular waveguide fed at one of its sides. The employed lateral feeding is more convenient for a single-layer architecture making use of a corporate feeding network. This feeding mechanism enables to conceive new array concepts, such as dual-polarized, circularly-polarized or dual-band antennas. In fact, the use of cylindrical cavities allow to stack 4 layers, 2 working at 20 GHz and 2 more for the 30 GHz band, therefore achieving a dualpolarized dual-band antenna. Preliminary results are presented to demonstrate the viability of the concept, especially appealing for satellite communications terminals.
