摘要
Nowadays pollution is a main concern, The main source of pollution is automobiles which are using IC engines. The best way to replace IC engines for a better cause is to introduce electric vehicles. The importance of DC-DC converters is high in electric vehicles. This literature reports one kind of topology in DC-DC converters i. e. using switched inductors. A switched inductor cell structure consists of capacitors and inductors, with the change in series and parallel connection of the inductors and capacitors, a vast range of voltage conversion ratios can be achieved. These cells can be inserted into various conventional and modified converters. These cells help us attain large variations of voltage using some simple switching techniques. In conventional converters, the voltage conversion range is limited because of Voltage stress, Current ripple, and low efficiency if they employ a high duty ratio. There are a few types of sub-structures that we use to achieve high voltage gain, the structures are Active Switched Inductor (ASI) structure, Passive Switched inductor (PSI) Structure, and Switched capacitor (SC) Structure. The voltage gains of the converters with the structures mentioned is high compared to conventional converters even on lower duty cycles. On adding an auxiliary switch, the efficiency can also be improved for particular voltage gains.
