摘要
Compared with static headspace on GC (HSGC) the "electronic nose" is very suitable to analyse highly volatile compounds of different carrot varieties and distinguish between them. Both methods can detect differences between patterns of carrot varieties and the content of total volatile substances in the headspace of the samples. Yet the "electronic nose" measures faster and after drawing up clusters the instrument is able to attach single measurements on-line. The "electronic nose" delivers a general array of the highly volatile compounds in regard to the qualitative changes as well as the quantitative content. With static HSGC it is possible to record quantitative and qualitative differences of single compounds.
